She wasn’t the problem, just the plot twist. Her brother gambled that family loyalty outweighed basic arithmetic and lost. The wife called her vindictive, the mom cried, and the uncle passed the mashed potatoes in silence. In the end, the house went under, the debt came due, and the so-called lazy sister turned out to be the only adult in the room. Turns out family drama ages faster than gratitude and costs a lot more to refinance.
